Having kids is a tough responsibility, and for most, it’s a lifelong commitment. That’s why Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi decided not to involve themselves in this lifestyle.
Now, Globe (via Gossip Cop) is claiming that the couple is fighting over the very issue that they said they didn’t want to do anything with. Reportedly, a source of the magazine said that Ellen DeGeneres wanted to adopt a kid while Portia de Rossi is still standing her ground of not wanting to be a parent.
This disagreement allegedly led to a friction between the two that is supposedly putting their relationship on thin ice. The insider said that friends of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have urged them to undergo counseling but it hasn’t worked at all.
What’s more, the magazine is saying that Ellen DeGeneres is now ignoring Portia de Rossi, which caused the latter to air her grievances to her friends. But this is simply incorrect.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s relationship is solid at the moment and there is literally zero news about the two going through fights right now apart from what Globe is peddling. The latest about the couple is they sold their Montecito estate for $34 million.
The couple did so quietly, letting go of the beautiful home after spending money and effort on it for four years, making it undergo renovation and expansion. It’s still unclear why Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi decided to sell their romantic weekend retreat but representatives of the two didn’t mention any fights that caused them to sell the estate.
Moreover, even though the two have been buffeted with gossips saying that they soon will be divorcing, Portia de Rossi has said that she simply doesn’t care about these false whispers. As for Ellen DeGeneres’ decision of wanting kids, the talk show host simply doesn’t want to be involved in it as she had said so in her past interviews.
